Meet our founder, Jen Evans!

Jen, a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, has always been draw to movement and the way it can help people feel stronger, more capable, and more connected to themselves. Her fitness journey began in high school, when she first stated strength training to help her become more competitive in college volleyball and sparked a lasting curiosity about the “why” behind movement. that curiosity led her to earn a degree in exercise science and complete graduate coursework in nutrition, physiology, stress management, and health education. While working as a personal trainer and fitness director, Jen discovered Pilates in 2003 to cross-train from heavy weightlifting— and quickly fell in love with its thoughtful, empowering approach. She completed her first STOTT Pilates teacher training in Springfield, MO in 2004 and immediately began teaching private and group sessions.

Today, Jen’s greatest passion is helping people find joy in movement and pride in what their bodies can do. Her own health challenges have shaped not only her exercise journey, but also the way she shows up for her clients— with patience, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s story. After being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2009 and navigating years of treatment, Jen underwent multiple surgeries in 2014 to remove her colon and replace it with an illegal J-Pouch. Around the same time, she was diagnosed with a kidney tumor and chronic kidney disease— experiences that gave her an even deeper appreciation for resilience, healing, and individualized support. Jen believes these experiences have made her a more compassionate teacher, and she strives to meet clients where they are while helping them build confidence in where they are headed.

Jen is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher through the National Pilates Certification Program, with extensive training through STOTT Pilates, Balanced Body, and Polestar. She is also an Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, a certified Group Fitness Instructor and Medical Exercise Specialist through the American Council on Exercise, and a Menopause Coaching Specialist through Girls Gone Strong. Her additional certifications include BarreAmped, Barre Intensity, TRX, and 200-hour Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher training. A lifelong learner at heart, Jen continues to seek meaningful opportunities for enrichment and professional growth so she can better support the people she teaches. Outside of the studio Jen enjoys reading; spending time with her family and dog, Bo; and working on the always-humbling game of golf.
